State University Archives holds the Cooperative
Extension Annual Reports comprising the reports written by county
agents for submission to the state director of extension. Included are the
reports written by extension agents in counties of the Missouri Coteau.
Moreover, pasted into the reports are black-and-white photographs
documenting agricultural operations, rural life, and extension activities
in the area. Research in these records has focused on photographic images
that enlighten the relationship between people and the land in the Coteau.
